exercise, fitness and drowning!

A busy week it has been, I have been on earies, so I have had to meet with lady 5am once again for the week, whoever invened that time of day is not a nice person! I fnally wake up at around midday, coinciding quite well with lunch!
Then when i come home I can get fit as part of my wedding regime with the new game Ian bought me home, wii fit
It is surprisingly good. Tracks your weight and BMI, encourages you to have good posture and tracks it...it also calclates your "wii age"... mine managed to go from 23 on day 1 to 35 on day 3! Not good! Personally I blame early days, and doing i after walking around brighton with buster boy for 4 odd hours.

Speaking of brighton... it turns out, water is faster than claire. I managed to deck in the water, not once, but twice. I had to walk about is soaking shoes and jeans til i managed to pick up some flip flops....and walk around in flip flops and wet jeans for the rest of the day....yay.

Shift, weddings and being tired!

well, another week has been and gone, and nothing exciting happened between now and then. But then it rarely does.

I'm back on Shift for a while while the Snowy one has a knee Op, have to say, I was none to pleased with the prospect of going back on the tools or shift. I'm a bit of a social butterfly at work, I like working WITH people, and being one of 2 electricians spread across about 14 lines means most of the time it is firefighting on your own - occassionally with a fitter. It took a while to find my feet again, been away for so long! And i forgot how much drama goes on in that place. I also get the unique aspect of seeing inter departmental gossip - its like chinese whispers in that place, a joke or little comment made gets passed around and a week later there is nigh on all out war going on. I seem to miss the middle bit but catch the begining and end result! mmm....dramaLlama.

Also, this weekend is for all things wedding. Yes wedding fayre and being dressed up like a barbie doll. Hopefully I will be able to pick the dress today with mum and nans approval - altho this time im hoping nan doesnt call any other bride to be's fat (including me!).

The boys at work were enquiring about my hen night last night, as most of my mates are men they have decided to be my girly night out. I get the horrible impression they want to give me a stag do! Which i dont mind but knowing them it will involve strip clubs and naked women! Which, although the human body doesnt disgust me, isnt really my thing!

Anyway, Im off to train the dog a bit before the wedding shopping

The joys of dog ownership. Hair, slobber and........mud.

And lots of it.

And I would like to take this opportunity to thank the great british weather, sunny as I leave the house to walk the dog, 2 seconds down the road after the dog makes it evident he is in fact walking me, the heavens open.

After the hassle of gettin the dog out of the house, wrestling his harness on through his bouncing, running and spinning...It is too late to turn back.

So, we trudge on to the field. If by now you can call it a field. 2 days of flash showers have left it more like something you would expect to see scantly clad women wrestling in, but alas I wasnt in my wrestling bikini so I just walked the dog. While i got wetter and colder and grumpier, he got faster and happier. He LOVES the rain, which is odd cos he hates water in any other form!

We get home, cold wet and covered in mud (him more than me), and shortly thereafter the house! He runs and rolls and rolls and runs. Kindly drying himself off on all our soft furnishings. Before going out into the garden, gettin wet and muddy again, and repeating the exercise all over again.

So now, I have to go and shower and get warm again!

Yes. I am this bored.

Well, every man and his dog seems to have a blog these days. Except this man (/woman) and dog (/ratdog). So I thought, what the hell... lets do this sh*t!

Having just been out with the dog to acquire some much needed lunch from the grandparents, and got thoroughly rained on in doing so, I am having a quiet, and dry, afternoon in. Listening to some good tunes - the new MGMT album - and looking for suitable first dance songs! I'm not having the best luck in doing so, most of my music isnt very....... romantic shall we say... Most love songs in my collection quickly turn around into songs about jilted lovers, pain and lonliness! Fun.

I might just rickroll my wedding, after being inspired by the rickrolling of liverpool street station by b3tans!

Ian is working late tonight I expect so I think waiting for him will involve alot of mario Karting! After he bought me home a wii on thursday! Have to say, the wii hasnt ever appealed to me; didnt like the idea of waving my arms around like i'm having some kind of fit... especially as we get alot of traffic past our window... but its all worth it for mario Kart. The steering wheel is great, I get to drive like a big girl; just poorly. It suits me great, cos I seem to play driving games like that anyway. Motion sensers or not! Now, it actually does something! YAY.
Anyway. Mindless drivel done with. I'm off to drive round a track agaist a giant mushroom, a couple of plumbers and a dinosaur!
